Based on our multilayer coextrusion technology, Sealed Air’s Nexcel™ brand M-Series polyolefin medical films are free of PVC and plasticizers. In this proprietary manufacturing process, several polymers, each contributing a specific property, are coextruded into a multi-layer film. The result is an exceptionally clear, extremely tough film with a wide range of superior physical properties even for applications requiring aseptic fill, post sterilisation via steam autoclave or gamma radiation.
Flexible containers produced with M-Series medical films, M916A connector tubing, and our MP312 spike port, offer a superior PVC alternative to meet the demanding requirements of medical solution packaging applications and global Pharmacopoeia requirements. All products are DEHP free and have a registered Drug Master File number with USFDA.
Nexcel™ M-Series medical films are designed to be chemically inert and have extremely low levels of extractables with a wide range of solutions - even under the demanding conditions of 121°C sterilization. Like all Sealed Air products, Nexcel™ M-Series medical films are part of a total systems approach. We provide total packaging solutions which includes assistance with port tubing, port fittings, bag-making equipment and overwrap options.
